The staff was lovely and friendly. The bar area? A warm place to unwind after a long day.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still manageable.

The stay was enjoyable, primarily for the ambiance and comfort. The bar had a charming character and atmosphere that made our evenings delightful. It also provided excellent food, both dinner and breakfast were well presented and tasty. On a minor note, the room could use some modern touches as it felt a bit dated. it was a lovely getaway.

Don't miss the cooked-to-order breakfast. it's a highlight and a great way to start your day.

missingWrote a review on Dec 24beautiful groundsdiverse menuhigh-quality mealsdated decor
The grounds surrounding the building shine with natural beauty, offering ample room for dogs to run around. Dining options impress with a diverse menu that caters well to picky eaters, featuring high-quality meals that create a satisfying experience.
The decor inside could use some serious attention. it's stuck in a dated style that feels more like the 70s than anything fresh. Rooms lack small conveniences like a ring for the toilet roll, and general upkeep seems neglected with loose light fixtures and odd repairs, like a disused tissue dispenser turned part of the plumbing. The absence of pavements in the area means you're pretty much stuck driving to get anywhere, which can be a hassle. Lastly, some rooms have a damp smell, which is a bit off-putting.

The bar features a solid selection of local ales and gins, providing a nice local feel. The décor is charming and cozy, making it a comfortable place to relax after a long day out. Rooms enjoy scenic views over the hotel grounds, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
The room needed significant refreshing, with a strong air freshener masking an underlying moldy scent, particularly noticeable at night. cold radiators left the room chilly, and the carpet was worn in several areas. Hot water issues persisted, with the pressure too low to achieve a decent shower experience during my stay. The dining options were lackluster, with unexciting soup and poorly prepared breakfasts that felt overcooked and underwhelming.

Just a reliable pick for a weekend respite in Forest Row with good value. The big breakfast kept me going all day. Make sure to check for any ongoing redecoration.

A charming atmosphere with lovely surroundings makes for an enjoyable stay. The breakfast selection was impressive and satisfying. the reception was unstaffed upon arrival, leading to a frustrating wait, and the room showed signs of wear, needing updates. Customer service interactions weren't always pleasant, particularly during breakfast seating arrangements.

The Roebuck's charming 17th-century character and cozy lounge made me feel right at home. The low door handles are a thoughtful touch, accommodating for seniors like myself, allowing easy access without the hassle of bending over.
Could benefit from modernizing the dining area.

A delightful stay with great dining
I had a lovely time during my stay, especially enjoying the clean room and comfortable bed that offered views over the beautiful garden. The breakfast was generous and delicious, giving us the energy we needed to explore the local area. While the building showed some wear and tear, the charming ambiance and friendly service more than made up for it.

Great place for a quick stop
We stayed for a night, arrived late but staff were super friendly. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep. It was nice and quiet since there were no events happening. Breakfast was decent too! Only wish there were more dining options around the area.
